Mount Gambier Golf Club

Established in 1909 and located on the northern edge of Mount Gambier on Attamurra Road, Mount Gambier Golf Club is just five minutes from the city centre, famous for its Blue Lake. The 18-hole course offers a par 72 layout for men, measuring just over 6,000 metres with a slope rating of 129. For ladies, the par 73 course measures 5,200 metres with a slope rating of 125. The club also features an 18-hole orange course measuring 3,000 metres with a par of 62, designed to encourage players of all abilities.

Elevated tees on many holes provide excellent views across the course, with the signature par 3 8th hole offering a southerly view back to the Mount Gambier Centenary Tower. The course's Santa Ana couch fairways are generous, rewarding accuracy and placement, while the large, true greens are a standout feature.

Recent enhancements, directed by Crafter and Mogford Golf Strategies, include widening fairways and removing inappropriate tree plantings to improve turf development and playability. The picturesque course, with its blend of native and exotic trees, shrubs, and native grasses, attracts an abundance of birdlife and kangaroos, making it a truly impressive venue.
